When should I book my baby's session?

>> Your baby's first year will fly by if you haven't already noticed.  It's definitely something to keep in the back of your mind when your little one is born.  You might wonder, "how often should I get their picture taken?"  That answer is totally up to you.  Every family does it different.  Some book a session at the newborn/3/6/9/12 month, some do nb/4/8/12, some do nb/6/12, and some just do nb/12 month.  I know this seems like a lot, and it is, but remember that the first year, your baby changes the most compared to any other stage.  I don't mind seeing you so much though, because it gives me a chance to love of them as they grow!!  I recommend booking your session at least 1-2 months in advance, if not earlier.  Depending on the season, my availability becomes very limited. 

Where will the session be?

>> This is totally up to you.  If you should choose a studio setting, they will be taken at my studio located here in Mt. Pleasant.  Another option would be at your home or location of your choice.  For outdoor shoots, I usually go to one of the local park areas.

What should my baby wear?

>> I do keep some props here at the studio, but if there is anything specific you want them wear, just bring it.  I also have a large assortment of hair bows and headbands for the little girls, but still bring any that you have that might coordinate with their attire.  I am always here to help you and to look over what you have picked out.  For the birthday sessions, I always like to coordinate colors that go with their birthday theme.  We can discuss more about that when you book your session.

How long is the session?

>> During the first year, your baby's attention span can be shorter than an older child, therefore they get tired a lot sooner.  When booking, I like to get more information about naps so we can avoid those time frames.  A well rested baby usually equals a happy baby.  The session is usually between 1-2 hours.

 What does it cost?

>> The baby and birthday sessions start at $350.  An additional fee may be included for travel and location.  This includes the photographer's time, skill, and print release of all the high resolution edited images.  Typically, there are between 40-100 edited images in your gallery.  Optional prints and products are available for purchase at the time of proofing.
