Maternity Session Details
When should I book my maternity session?
>> Preparing for this new bundle of joy can be an exciting and stressful time, whether this be your first or fifth child. My goal is to make this session as comfortable and relaxing as possible. I know you already have a million things on your mind, and hopefully pictures are one of them. That's where I come in. I always suggest scheduling ahead of time just so the end of your pregnancy doesn't sneak up on you and you realize you haven't booked yet. From my experience working with moms, week 32-36 is the best time to photograph that growing belly. I like to allow several weeks before your due date so your belly is nice and round, but you aren't too uncomfortable yet! I know you may not think or feel you look great, but in my eyes, you are carrying one of God's greatest miracles, so that makes you the most beautiful ever. In saying that, you may also feel that documenting this time is not necessary...but just remember, this will only happen once in a lifetime with this child. I don't want you to have regrets. Even if you don't have me photograph your belly, I pray that you will find someone or do it yourself to have the precious moments recorded.
Where do we take the pictures at?
>> We can shoot wherever you feel most comfortable. I do have a studio in Mt. Pleasant, NC, or we can go to a location of your choice.
Who can be in the pictures with me?
>> Good question! I always encourage the daddy and siblings to be involved or whoever you want. This experience isn't just yours...it touches many people.
What do I wear?
>> You wear whatever makes you feel great. Here is a link I found that answers that perfectly. What to Wear. I am open to suggestions and ideas that you may have. At least 2 outfit changes are encouraged just to give a variety of options.
Should I bring anything else?
>> I always ask that you bring an ultrasound picture if you have one. Nothing better than seeing a glimpse of what is to come! Again, I am open to suggestions, so if you see an idea on pinterest that you like, just send them my way. Sometimes moms will include something sentimental or something from the nursery.
How long is the session?
>> The session will last about 1-2 hours.
What does it cost?
>> The maternity session starts at $350. An additional fee may be included for travel and location. This includes the photographer's time, skill, and print release of all the high resolution edited images. Typically, there are between 40-100 edited images in your gallery. Optional prints and products are available for purchase at the time of proofing.
Please feel free to contact me with any further questions or if you would like to check my availability for scheduling.
